Communication is at the heart of every healthy relationship and we seek to have a great relationship with our Treehouse families!

We encourage parents to play an active part in nursery life and invite you to attend various interactive events. You can phone us at any time during the day for an update on your child.

These are the following ways that we reach out to our parents to stay in touch regarding their child/children’s development. 

Our nurseries use a secure online platform called the Tapestry to monitor our children’s development, share information and communicate with parents and carers.

We introduced this fantastic system to make it easier for you to see what your child/children are up to at nursery and preschool. You can download this secure app on your mobile phone or laptop. 

Tapestry enables The Treehouse Club team to capture important moments of your child’s time at the nursery, either by a photo or video and makes this available to you on a secure platform.  These important observations are uploaded by your key worker throughout the day.

What can you find on Tapestry: 

• Babies /Toddlers Full Care Diary: (includes bottle feeds, food intake, sleeps, toileting and nappies routines and information) as well as activity and learning reports.

• Preschool / Nursery 3+ Care Diary: (includes menu/snack information) as well as activity and learning report. 

• Educational Observations throughout. 

We welcome you to interact with this platform by uploading pictures/observations of your child from home to create a complete picture of their development.

This app makes it easy for you to keep updated on your child’s development and provide reassurance that you have received a complete handover for your child even if you can’t make ever pick up.   If you have any questions regarding the Tapestry Platform, please do not hesitate to speak to your keyworker or setting manager. 

Newsletters

Our goal with our dynamic newsletters are to engage our parents and children; cover events and activities at all our settings, including interesting and useful content related to forestry education, EYFS, fun ‘try-at-home’ activities, programmes and holiday clubs and much more.  Look out for our latest publication  (these come out four times a year).

Facebook Presence:  A Vital Communication Tool

We also add to our Facebook page and tweet very regularly. We understand that parents find comfort in knowing what activities their children are taking part in while at nursery. This knowledge helps towards engaging conversation between you and your child.  We love to share our passion for forestry philosophy, early years and general good fun.
