How children learn at Treehouse Club
Like all schools in the UK, we follow the core Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and incorporate learning in a safe and secure outdoor-indoor Forest School environment; where free play, adult-led, fresh air, exposure to the natural world and physical activity are an integral part of learning.
Our curriculum has been developed to meet the seven areas of learning as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as well as the hands-on science of Forest School. We ensure that everyday each child has the opportunity to practice learning, in a truly stimulating natural environment.
We are extremely passionate about offering the very best in educational practices, creating a uniquely holistic approach that incorporates the very best of nature-based education, Montessori methods and solid EYFS foundations.
This approach really stimulates natural curiosity and cultivates a lifelong love of learning – particularly in our natural environment.

Our Early Years Educators use this document in order to plan activities for, observe and assess each individual child’s learning and development; this is then added to each child’s online profile in order to give a clear picture of their learning and development. This online profile can then be used to show children’s starting points, produce two year progress checks, reports for parents evenings and school leavers and also highlight any areas in need of support.
