Before & After School Clubs

Out of School Club

Our before and after school club is unique to any other setting.

The before school club commences with breakfast, this is a fantastic social time where the children can socialise with their friends or join in with one of the morning activities. Our children are incredibly close and they make lasting bonds and relationships with the other children.

Big adventures. Happy children. Easy pick-ups.

The Treehouse Club Out of School Clubs turns the school day into something children genuinely look forward to.

Available Before School and/or After School (dependant on school) our sessions are packed with hands-on, confidence-building activities that keep curious minds busy and bodies moving. From forest-school inspired outdoor play, den building and nature crafts, to creative projects, team games, cooking, problem-solving challenges and plenty of free play with friends – every afternoon is designed to feel like an adventure, not an extension of the classroom.

Best of all, it all happens right on the primary school site. That means no extra travel, no rushed collections and no worrying about transitions for your child. Children finish their school day and simply move into a familiar, safe environment with staff they know and trust. Parents enjoy a smoother end to the day, flexible pick-up times and the reassurance that their child is happy, settled and well cared for.

The Treehouse Club isn’t just after-school childcare – it’s a calm, enriching space where children can relax, explore their interests and end the day smiling.

Health and Nutrition

We take special pride in excellent nutrition.

Good nutrition is something that we hold in high regard. All our meals are homemade, simple, yet adventurous and are packed with enough energy to ensure the children can be active and happy all day.  We have a daily in-house chef that cooks onsite for all our children (Thriftwood, Norseywoods & Wickford preschool and nurseries only).

We want to teach children more about healthy lifestyles and encourage the adoption of healthy eating and active living. We love food variety, eating in the forest, working in our allotment, making homemade cakes for cold days and deliciously warming hot chocolate around a campfire.

Of course, some children have varied tastes and tolerances; we cater for all dietary requirements and have a robust system in place to ensure each child safely receives the right food.

Benefits to Parents and Children

Being situated on the school grounds, specifically for infants, the afterschool club offers a familiar environment for the children. This familiarity contributes to a sense of security and comfort. Moreover, the mixed-age setting promotes the development of friendships that may not naturally occur during regular school hours. This inclusive environment encourages social interaction and collaboration among children of different ages, enriching their overall experience at the afterschool club.

There is an opportunity to participate in meal preparation, such as assembling their own sandwiches, buttering bread and bagels, and cutting up fruit. These activities aid in the development of motor skills, life skills, and foster independence and confidence.

We also offer dedicated time for homework completion, providing support as needed.

We actively involve the children in decision-making processes by soliciting their input on preferred resources based on their interests.
