The Treehouse Club is a Forestry Nursery and Out of School Club chain in the heart of Essex. Operating for 14 years, we have grown to 12 settings including Nurseries, Preschools, After-School and Holiday clubs and looking to expand further.

As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of a large nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, learning, and operational excellence. You will lead by example, support staff development, maintain strong relationships with families, and ensure the setting meets all EYFS and Ofsted requirements.

This position is Maternity Cover to start with a view to a permanent position at a different setting for the right candidate.

Working 4 days per week 7:30am - 6:30pm, Monday - Friday with set day off every week.

Salary from £40k to £44k per annum (depending on experience).

Nursery Manager Job Role:

  • To promote a consistent approach working towards our visions and mission, improving the quality of learning and development in the company’s settings and deploying this.

  • Lead the team in providing high standards of care and education for the children.

  • To lead Ofsted inspections and work with other local authorities as needed.

  • To be Designated Safeguarding Lead (training will be provided).

  • To support with company development.

  • Overall management of Health and safety.

  • Review setting budget, and spend accordingly for your setting.

  • Review Staff development and implement improvement plans, alongside carrying out regular supervisions with the staff.

  • Ensure your setting is meeting the company policies and procedures.

  • Review setting development plans and target and update accordingly.

  • Provide the team with regular training updates, and ensure they are completing their mandatory training regularly.

  • Monitor and promote equality.

  • Lead the nursery in their self-evaluation and quality assurance processes.

  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed.

  • Join weekly calls with the other Managers, Area Managers and Directors to share best practice and to keep up to date with the business.

  • Nursery Management: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or higher) (required)
