We are pleased to announce the opening of our new purpose-built baby facility at our new Thriftwood Scouting Centre setting, with with over 95 m² of custom-made learning environments and private garden terrace.
We are not only a forestry pre-school; we also offer bespoke full-time childcare for babies from 8 weeks old to 12 months.
We provide a safe and caring environment where your baby will develop their first skills through sensory and tactile experiences such as messy play, floor activities, books, music, outdoor adventures and of course lots of cuddles and love. The setting is complete with feeding areas, cots, quiet spaces, integrated open plan areas and private baby terrace. A delightful environment for exploration and growth.
Our new nursery setting provides flexible childcare for the expanding Brentwood and Ingrave area; located off Orchard Ave, south east of Brentwood, in Ingrave just off the A128 and about 1 mile from Brentwood main town centre.

If you are a parent or carer looking for affordable, accessible, out of hours’ childcare near Wickford, our Preschool is great for bridging the gap between school hours and your hours at work. We cater for babies from three months old to 5 years old in our preschool facility. We recognise that every child is an individual; so our staff tailor care to incorporate a variety of activities to stimulate and entertain them.

Our preschool staff understands the importance of under 5 education and the inclusion of parents is integral, so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in what your child is learning. We pride ourselves on the level of education and amazing opportunities we are able to offer our children, we have a full indoor and outdoor curriculum, forest school, beach school, additional private talks, experience days and trips. We have our own allotment where the children are taken there to learn about growing fruit and vegetables.
We are the only setting near Wickford that delivers this level of education which enables our children to achieve above the national average across the seven areas of learning.

Preschool Meals and snacks:
Breakfast is provided for all children attending session starting before 9am
Healthy snacks are provided in both morning and afternoon pre-school sessions
If your child will be attending for either a full day or for any of our morning session, we request that you provide them with a nutritious, healthy packed lunch to eat as lunch is usually between 11:30am and midday.
Dinner is provided around 4:45pm for children attending in the evening.
We also have a water station for the children so they have access all day.
Our Preschool is unique to any other setting near Wickford and is registered, run by approved play workers and is Ofsted inspected. We also have an on-line booking system that allows you to request additional sessions with us through the Parent Portal. Once a request has been made we will check our availability and confirm to you within 24 hours. Our preschool runs from 07:00 until 09.00.
