We’re facing a climate and nature emergency, and we are the last generation that can do something about it.  It’s never too early to teach our children about our environment, how to protect our planet, current issues and how to make a positive impact and to tread lightly.

The Treehouse Club has joined these campaigns to make a small but important difference.  We use this opportunity to involve our children and learn about global wildlife conservation.

We’ll be teaching the children about endangered animals and protecting precious habitats around the world. Together, we can help connect with nature.

At Treehouse Club, we believe it’s never too early to get children interested and involved in giving back and learning about the importance of giving. Children are capable of tremendous compassion, and with a little help and direction, kids can begin to make a big impact in their communities.

We look forward to supporting these worthwhile causes.

Let’s Dig in 2020!

Treehouse Club will join forces with the conservation volunteering charity ‘I Dig Trees’ to help transform green spaces for nature and for people.  We have planted some shrubs and trees in a few of our settings.  What this space for photos.

Together we hope to improve our community spaces and tackle the ever so important environmental issues that matter.

Treehouse has joined the FIGHT! Let’s do our part for the environment.

We’re facing a climate and nature emergency, and we are the last generation that can do something about it.

It’s never too early to teach our children about our environment, how to protect our planet, current issues and how to make a positive impact and to tread lightly.

Treehouse Club has joined the WWF campaign to make a small but important difference.  We use this opportunity to involve our children and learn about global wildlife conservation.  We have adopted a Jaguar and Tiger.  The elusive jaguar has been virtually wiped out from most of its northern range. Jaguars now occupy less than half of their historic habitat where as the wild tiger populations have declined by around 95% since the beginning of the 20th century.

We’ll be teaching the children about endangered animals and protecting precious habitats around the world.

Together, we can help connect with nature.  Interested in continuing this conversation with your little one at home?  Have a look at the WWF website, they offer free educational resources to learn more about our world and develop understanding of the environmental challenges.

Have you meet our Forestry Leader? Big Welcome to Amanda!

Have you meet our new Forestry Leader at the Treehouse Club?

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Amanda.   All the children at our various settings have had the opportunity to participate in fantastic outdoor learning and Forest School with Amanda.

Here is a little Q&A:

Q: A bit about your background?  When did you get into forestry education?

A: I’ve worked in Early Years for a long-time and always enjoyed activities outdoors as well a being a Club Leader.  I saw how much my classes benefitted when they did Forest School.  I decided to train with Essex Wildlife Trust and became a qualified Forest School Leader.

Q: What is your favourite forestry activity?

A: A campfire on a chilly day, toasting marshmallows or crumpets.

Q: What do you find inspiring about forestry education / forest school?

A: What inspires me is the ‘Holistic Element’ – children can develop in all areas and direct their own teaching.  The benefits of being outdoors as much as possible are huge.

Q: If you were a woodland animal, what animal would you be and why?

A: A squirrel – because they are such good climbers and I would love to see the world from their view point.

We are proud to say that our Treehouse team are a passionate lot, united in creating something really special and something different.  Well Amanda  we hope you have enjoyed your first few weeks!  Can’t wait to see more of your forestry activities.
