The Treehouse Club Forestry Nursery and Out of School Club are unique settings. Offering both a pre-school and out of school club for children aged from 6 weeks to 11 years old, we are open from 7am until 7pm and offer our children the wonderful experiences of attending a forestry setting and learning in an outside environment.

We are looking for an Out of School Club Manager to join our growing team.

Job description:

Purpose of the job:

You will be assigned as the manager of our out of school club. Co-ordinating two separate rooms with segregated age groups, you will be leading our out of school club team to provide a mix of indoor and outdoor sessions for all of our children. Our out of school club operates before and after our pre-school from 7am until 9am and then from 3:30pm until 7:00pm.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Co-ordinating the planning across all age groups and rooms.
  • Managing a team of staff including qualified practitioners and apprentices.
  • Planning the school drop off and collection rotas.
  • Ensuring that the club is opened and closed efficiently.
  • Providing a role model to the team to developing them to provide a high level of childcare and education.

Person specification:

The ideal applicant will have the following skills and qualities:

  • At least three years of Out of School Club managerial experience
  • Strong team managerial skills and a proven track record of team management.
  • Experience of running at least a 30 child setting.

How will we evaluate you and your suitability to this role:

  • We will be looking for you to demonstrate relevant experience across a strong out of school club career.
  • You will have the suitable skills and qualifications, with at least a level 3 in childcare.

You will be reporting to: The Setting Manager

The salary for this role will be:  £negotiable for the right candidate

The initial length of probation will be: 3 months

Annual safeguarding training is provided to all staff and is an integral part of the setting’s Continued Professional Development training. All staff, volunteers and main contractors undergo appropriate DBS checks prior to appointment.

The Treehouse Club Forestry Nursery and Out of School Club applies safer recruitment policies to ensure that all of our staff are suitable to work with children and young people. We advise you in advance that two people will be involved in your recruitment process.
