Is this the healthiest recipe you’re ever going to make? No. Is this the best hot chocolate you’re ever going to make? Yes! We’ve been eating our bodyweight in ginger biscuits and mince pies anyway, so we reckon that we may as well wash it all down with something this decadently delicious.
What Yule Need
Instructions
Add all the goodies – coconut milk, condensed milk and extracts – to your crock pot/slow cooker, whisking to combine. Stir in salt, cocoa powder and chocolate, whisking again. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours.
Every 15 mins or so do give it a good whisk as this will just enhance how amazing the end result is. Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t boil – if it gets to boiling point then whisk some more and turn the heat down.
After two hours (and before serving) add the flaked or shredded coconut to a small saucepan and heat over a low heat, stirring with a wooden spoon. Brown for 5-6 minutes until golden and then let it cool. Crush and put aside to pop on as a topping.
Pour the mix into a cup, add all the toppings and then email The Treehouse Club on adventure@thetreehouseclub.co.uk to thank us.
