What does the registration cost include? The registration costs includes all admin costs and uniform such as t-shirt, jumper. The baby room still requires this as a uniform will be provided when they are big enough.
The out of school club does not have a registration fee.
Do the children go out in all weathers? Our Forest school runs on the Scandinavian principle that there is no bad weather, just bad clothing! Our staff set an example of how to dress for all types of weather.
We strongly recommend wellies and all in one wet suits.
What meals are included at The Treehouse Club? All children attending breakfast club will be given a healthy breakfast, pack lunch will be needed for lunch time however the baby room meal is provided for them as part of their development and dinner is provided for all children in the evening from 4.30pm.
Does a forestry pre school follow the EYFS? Yes we do, all planning is done for the EYFS we just have fantastic ways of doing it outside where children can enjoy learning more.
How are the children’s learning journeys done?
Where are you based? We have four outdoorsy locations:
Billericay (Norsey Woods)
Wickford (Dollymans farm – next to a woodland and rural countryside)
Brentwood (located within Thriftwood – a private woodland)
Ingrave Preschool (in the heart of a village, outside Brentwood)
What is a forestry Nursery? A forestry Nursery is a Nursery that focuses on a holistic approach where children spend a lot of time outside doing forest school and when they go indoors Montessori learning.
What times do you offer? We are opening 7am to 7pm and offer many different times to suit parent’s needs.
What ages do you take from? We offer places from 6 weeks to 11 years old at Wickford and 2 years and 11 years old in Billericay.
Do you offer just Pre-school places? Yes, we also offer a morning and afternoon club, if you would like extra hours. This is also only charged during term time but are more than welcome to attend full time.
Is there a deposit? Yes £25 which gets all uniform like wetsuit, t-shirt and jumpers. Babies are still charged this but goes too when they move up the rooms then they have already paid for the uniform.
Do you have an out of school club? Yes we have a massive out of school club, where the children enjoy lots of different activities such as art and crafts and outdoor play. We also cover all homework from school.
